Terms of service, acceptable use, our SLA, and privacy — everything that governs your Cephlon Metal server, on one page, written to be understood rather than hidden.
Cephlon Inc. (Ontario, Canada) provides dedicated bare-metal server rental, fully isolated shared instances, and managed services ("Cephlon Metal"). You must be 18 or older, and accurate identity and billing information is required.
Month-to-month via Stripe, billed in advance (CAD for Canadian customers, USD otherwise). Annual prepay = 2 months free. Taxes (HST where applicable) are extra. Non-payment: suspension at +7 days, data wipe at +21 days, after notice.
7-day money-back on the first month of unmanaged tiers; otherwise no pro-rated refunds. The Founding-10 discount is lifetime while continuously subscribed.
You control the OS and content and are solely responsible for lawful use, security patching (unmanaged tiers), and backups (unless a backup add-on is purchased).
Power, network, hardware repair/replacement, and a 99.5% SLA (see Section 3). Hardware failure means repair or replacement; drives are new at provisioning and wiped or destroyed at decommission.
Aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 3 months; no consequential or indirect damages.
Immediate suspension for AUP violations, legal compulsion, or network-endangering behaviour (including inbound-DDoS null-routing per the SLA exclusions). Otherwise, 30-day termination notice from either party.
You have 14 days after termination to retrieve your data (unless the content is unlawful); then certified erase.

We commit to 99.5% monthly uptime on power and network reachability, measured by our monitoring.
The uptime guarantee does not include:
Service credits are available upon request, within 30 days of the incident.
Credits are the sole remedy for downtime. We publish incidents on the status page.
We collect only what we need to operate the service — billing records and network flow data for abuse prevention. No content inspection, no analytics mining, nothing sold. Ever.
We collect account and billing records (via Stripe), support correspondence, and network flow metadata (as described in the Acceptable Use Policy).
We do not collect packet payloads, files on your servers, or workload analytics.
Nothing is sold or shared for marketing — ever.
Flow logs are retained for up to 90 days; billing records are kept as required by tax law.
